The United States Constitution guaranteed many rights for citizens. The founders believed freedom must have them. One was freedom of religion, which includes freedom to not be religious if that’s one’s choice. Modern Christians disagree. If a citizen of the United States of America does not believe in Christmas as detailed in the New Testament, then the nonbeliever should not celebrate Christmas. Period.
The truth of this is that modern Christians are now using Christmas as a form of persecution. What was once a joyous holiday will thus become darkness instead of light.
Ironically, Christians are wondering why so many people are turning away from their religion. In the days before the U.S. Revolution, and more so after, tens of thousands of men and woman fleeing religious persecution found America a safe haven.
Now not so much. Amazingly, I’ve recently learned how they felt before fleeing. I and my children are nonbelievers. Suddenly, I find others no longer feel we are worthy.
God sits on the sidelines as usual.
